Overview
• A CSP type pole mounted transformer is a self-protected distribution transformer installed on overhead poles to step down medium-voltage feeders to utilization voltages. Integrating protective devices and secondary apparatus in a compact tank, it supports reliable service for residential, rural and light commercial customers within overhead distribution networks.
Application
• CSP type pole mounted transformers supply typical 120/240 V and similar service voltages for homes, farms, small businesses and roadway lighting. Their elevated installation avoids ground-level flooding, vandalism and traffic impact, while minimizing right-of-way usage. This makes them well suited for suburban and rural feeders where underground cables are impractical or uneconomical, enhancing continuity of supply across dispersed loads.
